Meet the artist...
I see the ring designs I create as tiny sculptures for your finger where every fraction of a millimeter is considered. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It's not about the individual smaller shapes, but rather the seamless blending that transforms those smaller shapes into something new and unexpected. Likewise, my designs become a part of a bigger story that isn’t my own but one in which I’m thankful to play a role.
I’m an artist/designer based in southern California. With my background and degrees in drawing and painting, I am able to pull from and use that experience in my jewelry designs.
After my original engagement ring was lost in a house fire (and later recovered… in a drain pipe… on my birthday!), I looked around at my choices for a replacement ring. I was bored to tears by the single solitaire in a halo. Vintage designs had more flavor, but their fragility in age and craftsmanship made them impossible to wear on a daily basis. I was astounded that there was such a huge hole in the industry and set out to fill the gap: vintage-inspired design with the highest quality craftsmanship. I took the opportunity to design my ideal ring: the Gatsby.
I received many compliments on the ring over the course of several months and decided to try offering the design for sale online. The response was immediate and outstanding, so I tried my hand at a few more designs. I feel that I bring something different to the market, based on my experience with art and design. I see the stones as shapes to fit together in composition, much like an artist blocking in a base drawing - a more natural approach for me as a painter. My muse lies within the sunburst, art deco style of decades past.
