Every ring has a story...

The year that I planned to propose to my now-fiancée, she dropped (many) hints to me that she was interested in Heidi’s designs. After researching the type of design she wanted, and while starting to plan the proposal, I decided to do what any good partner should do and went directly to the source. I reached out to Heidi about a more bespoke design and she got back to me the same day. Heidi was pleasant, positive, and a consummate professional throughout the whole process. When the ring arrived, I was stunned with how incredible it looked. My fiancée loved—and still loves—the ring and I often have to take a moment to look at how perfect it looks on her finger. I would highly recommend Heidi and her work for anyone planning a proposal. Thank you for everything Heidi!

I convinced my girlfriend that I wasn’t going to propose until after the holidays because it was too stereotypical—a little white lie that, along with a few other fibs, successfully threw her off the scent. Our Christmas Eve tradition is to visit a drive-through light show every year, and I decided this would be the perfect setting for the proposal. This year, I told her I had to work late, so she’d need to meet me at the light show without me. The plan was for her to pick me up there so I could jump in her car and drive us around. She suggested meeting at a gas station first, and I agreed. But when she called me from the gas station, I told her, “Oh, I had a rough night and completely forgot. Can you just head straight to the show?” She believed me. When she arrived at the light show and called again, asking, “Okay, I’m here. Where are you?” I replied, “I’m so scatterbrained today—I’m not there to meet you.” At this point, she started suspecting something was up. I finally said, “It was never my intention to go through the light show with you. I’m already inside, waiting for you. Just start driving, and our one daughter—(who was in the backseat)—will play a video I made for you.” As she drove through the light show with her family, she watched the video. In it, I talked about our relationship—our long, complicated journey, the dreams we’ve built all because we dared to ask ourselves the question of 'how can we get to each other'. Toward the end, I said, “I have one more question to ask you, the most important one yet.” At that moment, her car was flagged down by a light show employee. She stepped out and found me waiting by a tall, beautifully decorated Christmas tree at the center of the display. I made sure her entire family was either there in person or watching via video call. One small but meaningful detail: she had always worried about not being dressed nicely for the proposal. I secretly coordinated with her mom to bring her a nice coat, pretending her mom wanted to borrow it. So when she reached me, she had something lovely to wear for the big moment. And then, surrounded by Christmas lights and all the people who mattered most, I asked her the question.

I'm the proud recipient of one of your amazing rings that my fiancé (Anthony) proposed with in front of the Colosseum in Rome! We met on a cruise 7.5 years ago and have been together since! We were in Rome for the start of an 11 day Mediterranean cruise so to start the trip with this proposal really brought our relationship full circle. It was so amazing. I thought I had one picked out: a pretty, but somewhat generic ring that I'm sure everyone’s seen before, but then after I found Heidi’s profile I knew without a doubt that was the ring I wanted to wear for the rest of my life! Her designs have so much character and are so unique! My husband and I picked out the center stone and were even able to add our birthstones on the sides of the ring to make it unique to us and our relationship. We got engaged and married in Hawaii, so every time I look at my ring it takes me back to those beautiful days! 🩵

On the one-year anniversary of our engagement, I lost my original ring. A trip that was meant for celebrating turned into a trip of panicking! After we got home, we began to look for a replacement immediately. I must've looked at a thousand rings on Pinterest, but I finally made a decision on the (modified) Heiress! I surprised my girlfriend with a rose gold, Original Gatsby ring with pink sapphires. My partner showed me Heidi’s Instagram in passing and let me know if I were to buy her a ring she wanted it to be a Heidi Gibson. The planning took a month of emails with Heidi to perfect the design and customize it, but I was not expecting such an immediate response and fast turn around. Any questions or concerns Heidi was responsive and honest and helped make the process seamless. My now wife is still in awe of the ring. I proposed to her in India in Jaipur, a city known as the “Pink City” - every time she looks at the ring, the pink sapphires remind her of that special moment. This is truly her dream ring and I even found a screenshot of it on her phone from 10 years ago before we met. Thank you Heidi for making a work of art.

Dear Heidi I stumbled across your Instagram sometime in 2013! It immediately caught my attention because of your unique and detailed designs. I always knew a plain solitaire ring just wasn't "me". 2013 also marks the year when I met my (now) husband. I showed him your instagram someday, hoping he'll remember it ;) Because we live in Germany I wasn't sure if it would be possible for me to own one of your amazing designs but still I wanted to make sure that he knows my taste and the style I'd feel comfortable with. (And I have never seen such beautiful rings!! I'm very picky!) On the 15th June 2018 - our 5 year anniversary - my husband proposed to me...with the Marquise Lindy (18 k yellow gold and diamonds). I was SO shocked and surprised!! And I couldn't believe after all these years he remembered your rings! Big big bonus was that he also nailed it and had the ring made in my finger size - a size 4. My engagement ring is the first ring EVER that really fits my finger! My mum used to work at a jeweler We got married on the 15th June 2022 at an old castle in Regensburg (Bavaria) with the ceremony taking place in the castle garden. There was lots of lush greenery and ivy, a whimsical old staircase and two statutes in each side with moss in them. We had our favourite picture taken on that staircase. Just magical! Our wedding rings were handmade by a goldsmith in Regensburg with hazelnut leaves engraved into them. When my husband proposed there was a hazelnut bush standing right next to us and if you look closely (on the staircase photo) you can see two hazelnut bushes on each side. I'll also include a few photos of our encampment shoot which took place on Halloween - 31st October - 2018. Heidi, your truly created an heirloom piece! It will be cherished and treasured forever! As spooky month is here and our 2 year anniversary is coming up, I just wanted to thank you and share photos from our moody 10/30 wedding in 2022. My ring is a dream come true and I still catch myself looking at it in awe even after wearing it for 4 years. When I first discovered your instagram in Nov 2018, I fell in love in your work and immediately followed. I went down a dazzling rabbit hole until a post made me stop on my tracks when I saw it: my dream ring. I knew in my heart that it was the one for me, so I saved the post. I even told my sister, “I found my ring! But I don’t know how to tell him.” We had talked about our future but saying that felt so direct, so I kept it to myself. Flash forward to New Years 2019. I had gotten quite a bit tipsy at the New Year’s Eve party we were at and as he was about to drive us home I drunkenly confessed “I found my ring!” and I pulled up the post, “There! I sent you a screenshot and included her instagram so you know where to find it when the time comes!” Of course, I was mortified the next morning… but fortunately, he listened and it was on my hand in 2020. Thank you for creating these works of art! My ring gets a lot of compliments and people always want to see it up close, which leads me to eagerly share your instagram. I cannot believe my best friend has proposed, let alone has proposed with a HEIDI GIBSON ring! I cannot thank you enough for working with her to create my dream ring — I cannot stop admiring how stunning and ‘me’ it is. I have the gorgeous Rockefeller style as my wedding ring, my husband purchased it back in 2017, and I wanted to share an especially sweet moment that happened today because of it. As I was in the checkout line at the grocery store, an elderly male employee stopped me and said, “Is that your wedding band? That is the most beautiful ring I think I have ever seen!” I thanked him and we went on to have such a sweet conversation about his late wife and her wedding ring.
