Drawing and painting is a huge part of my life. There is something special about the lost art of sketching jewelry design by hand. I love the tactile quality of charcoal on paper and the way a mathematical two dimensional drawing can translate into three dimensions. The challenge was to give myself two hour windows in which to bring various designs to life, for better or worse, using only white paint on a darkly painted drop cloth. Each subsequent painting was painted over it’s predecessor, resulting in a history of layered ghost images.
