The pear-shaped composition of the Rhapsody ring is, as its name suggests: ”a work free in form and inspiration." Pear diamonds are as unique in shape as nature creates - each one is cut to maximize the quality of the stone from which it is chiseled. Therefore, each diamond Rhapsody ring is also a custom design, built to complement the shape of the center. The center pear stone is framed by a double halo of varying rounds that serve to soften the sharp point of the pear. The halos are interrupted by the straight lines of the baguette stones that connote piano keys suspended in action. The setting has been designed to sit low profile and to accommodate a wedding band flush to the shank.
The Rhapsody design is made to order in six standard scales although can be built to accommodate any scale center stone. The Original Rhapsody in this listing (17mm prong to prong) can hold center stones 5x7mm, approximately .70 - .8 carat. Larger versions include the 19.5mm Rhapsody, which holds stones approximately 1 carat, the 22mm version , which holds approximately 1.20-1.40 carat center, and the 25mm version, which holds approximately 2 carat centers Smaller versions include the Petite, with approx. .30 carat center and the 15.5mm version with approximately half carat center stones. Pricing Options for the most commonly used stones:
- 5x7mm center white sapphire and surrounding white sapphires in 14k gold (white, yellow, rose): $2580
- Semi mount with white sapphires (no center stone): $2300
- All diamond semi mount, G-H, VS-SI1 (no center stone): $3800
- All diamond semi mount with a 5x7mm Forever One Moissanite Center: $4000
- All diamonds with a .70-.80 carat center stone (pricing will vary depending on the center stone that you choose): approximately $5900-6600, G-H, SI1. A lab diamond center stone is available upon request (lab diamonds are only center stone options, the setting can only be made with natural diamonds).
Pricing for commonly used alternative stones:
- 5x7mm Morganite (peachy pink center) with surrounding white sapphires: $2450
- 5x7mm Morganite (peachy pink center) with surrounding diamonds: $4100
- 5x7mm Black Sapphire, black diamond halo with surrounding white sapphires: $2600
- 5x7mm Black Sapphire, black diamond halo with surrounding white diamonds: $4250

What materials are used for the white sapphire version of this ring?
- The center is a natural white sapphire, the halo is always diamonds (white sapphires break/crack at that scale), and the outside stones are white sapphires: natural white sapphires for the rounds and Chatham white sapphires for the custom cut baguettes (cleaner stones from the same DNA, less imperfections that would be easily visible in a natural sapphire baguette cut)
I already have an heirloom stone, can I use it in this setting?
- Yes! I love when clients incorporate their own stones into my settings. I can build a semi mount for you to precisely fit your center stone size and color. You can choose to send the stone to me to have it set at no extra cost, or I can send you the semi mount to have your stone set locally. I will need exact millimeter dimensions of your stone to give you a quote.
Can I buy this ring with other stones?
- Yes! Please contact me for a quote for different stones, including blue sapphires, rubies, etc.
Can this ring be built with all Moissanite or lab diamonds?
- Unfortunately, no. Both moissanite and lab diamonds are only center stone options in my designs. The outside stones can be white sapphires or natural diamonds.
